Under my skin was the topic of Melissa Coleman’s master’s thesis, with which she graduated in 2005. We presented it at the Mediamatic Spatial Slide Salon and at the O’Reilly Maker Faire at EuroOSCON 2005.

Under my skin is a project in which the spatial perception of the user is translated in to tactile feedback in the from of vibrations from mobile phone motors. Equipped with pink satin sacs which are tied to the body with yards of ribbon, they demonstrate how tactility can be made explicit and shared.
